This project is a site-specific intervention carried out within the archaeological zones of Quebrada de Santo Domingo, Huaca El Brujo (3rd–7th century CE), and Chan Chan (c. 850 CE), located in the outskirts of Trujillo, northern Peru.
These landscapes have been deeply altered by agro-industrial activity, urban expansion, and the looting of sacred Huacas in search of ancestral treasures.
Through gestures, offerings, and songs, the actions pay tribute to water as a symbol of fertility and its connection to the land. They also serve as a mourning ritual for the language of water and the ancestral knowledge lost in this desert landscape.
